Curly Hair Masterclass with Terrence Manning from Hanzo

At The Cutting Room, we believe in the power of continuous learning and pushing the boundaries of our craft. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a curly hair masterclass with the incredible Terrence Manning from Hanzo, and what an inspiring experience it was!

Terrence brought his years of expertise and passion for working with curly textures, showing our stylists new techniques that have truly elevated our approach to curly hair. From mastering the art of cutting and shaping to understanding the unique personality of each curl, the stylists learned how to work with natural movement to create cuts that enhance and celebrate the beauty of curls.

Terrence in action!

One of the key takeaways from the class was the emphasis on individuality. No two heads of curly hair are the same, and Terrence reminded us of the importance of customizing each cut to suit the client’s curl type, texture, and personal style. Through hands-on demonstrations and personal guidance, we gained invaluable tips on cutting dry to preserve the curl pattern and using precision tools to ensure every snip complements the natural flow of the hair.

Never stop learning!

Moments like this remind us why we love what we do. The energy in the room was palpable as stylists gathered around, excited to apply these new skills to their work. It was a day of collaboration, growth, and creativity.

At The Cutting Room, we believe that education is the cornerstone of excellence, and we never stop seeking ways to improve. Whether it’s learning from industry legends like Terrence Manning or experimenting with our own styles, we are dedicated to evolving and bringing the best to our clients.

We’re excited to put these new curly hair techniques into practice and look forward to continuing this journey of growth alongside the amazing talent within our salon.

Stay curious. Keep learning. And as always, thank you for being part of The Cutting Room family!
